Kamyanets-Podilskyi, a city in Khmelnitsky Oblast, became a refuge at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia for a missionary from the Donetsk Oblast, Andrei Kovalenko, who lived and served there with his family on the grounds of a local church.
Children’s clubs, home groups, holding day camps in the city and villages of the region, helping the displaced – this is how the Kovalenko family helped people in their place of temporary residence.
Andrei Kovalenko also traveled with humanitarian aid to Donbass and took people out of there.
The population of the city as of 2017 is about 100 thousand people.
