How Did God’s Power Manifest at the CITA Ministry Crusade in February?

10 March 2025

Converting to God, healing from incurable illnesses, and deliverance from demonic influence—God’s might was powerfully on display throughout the four-day crusade. The event, supported by the CITA ministry, took place from February 13–16 in Bonga, Ethiopia. The speaker was missionary, pastor, and director of CITA ministry, Taras Sen.

Even before the crusade in Bonga officially began, when the Ukrainian missionary arrived with a local team to prepare the stadium for the event, God’s power was already at work. In fact, one man approached the ministers and shared his story of turning to God through the Ministry’s evangelistic broadcasts on Ethiopian television—he recognized the host, Taras Sen.

Throughout all four days of the crusade, the ministers prayed for healing, and God performed miracles.

Taras Sen recounted the miraculous healing of a man from a cancerous tumor. The very next day, he presented a current medical report confirming this wonder.

Erubal Mulatu, the senior minister of the CITA ministry in Ethiopia, shared the story of this 30-year-old man. He was hospitalized in Bonga, where doctors diagnosed cancer. Due to financial difficulties, treatment was out of reach, so he decided to attend the crusade. There, God revealed His power by granting him healing.

“One man had severe leg problems—he could barely walk and struggled to climb stairs. After prayer, his pain vanished. The next day at the crusade, he testified about his relief, even sitting on stage as proof, rejoicing in his healing.

An elderly woman suffered from heart issues that kept her from sleeping due to the pain. We prayed, and God healed her. She told us that her problem was gone—she could easily fall asleep,” explained Taras Sen.

A minister named Erubal also shared powerful testimonies of God’s glory:

“A ten-year-old boy was delivered from demonic influence. His parents, carrying him in their arms, handed him over to the ministers, who began praying for him. During the prayer, the boy lost consciousness and stopped breathing—but he soon came back to life. This amazed everyone present, and many people came to believe in Jesus Christ, witnessing God’s miracle.

A 70-year-old woman had long suffered from a serious intestinal disorder. She had seen many doctors, but none could help her—the pain only worsened, and her condition was complicated by bleeding. During the crusade, after Taras Sen prayed, the bleeding stopped and she was healed.”

During the event, more than 60 individuals—including children—experienced manifestations of unclean spirits. According to Taras Sen, a special tent was set up at the crusade venue for prayers of deliverance from demonic influence, where possessed individuals were brought in.

“By the power of the Holy Spirit, afflicted people were delivered from demonic influence, and the venue was filled with joy as prayers and songs of praise to God resounded continuously,” the speaker shared.

Over the course of three days, a charitable eye clinic provided professional medical assistance to more than 1,100 people, who also received complimentary eyeglasses. Among the participants were Orthodox believers and priests as well as Muslims.

During this trip, the director of CITA ministry presented awards of gratitude to 15 individuals who had repeatedly participated in preparing and conducting crusades in Ethiopia. Among those honored were Christian singers, musicians, sound engineers, and translators.

Additionally, as part of the crusade, CITA volunteers distributed 25,000 copies of the newspaper “Christ is the Answer.”

Together with a crowd of thousands, Taras Sen prayed for Ukraine:

“Traditionally, during our crusades in Ethiopia, we pray for Ukraine. This time, I purchased more than ten Ukrainian flags. From the stage, I prayed in Ukrainian, and afterwards, senior ministers—holding Ukrainian flags—fervently prayed in Amharic. The Ethiopians genuinely share in our sorrow for Ukraine.”

In conversations with various ministers during the crusade, the Ukrainian missionary received positive feedback about the event. According to his colleagues, the crusade helped unite different denominations. It brought together all churches, because we weren’t working for just one denomination or church—we came to serve everyone who embraced this ministry.

The Ministry plans to hold the next crusade this spring.

“We see the impact on people, churches, and pastors through the events we organize during our trips to Ethiopia. That’s why I believe we must continue holding crusades, snatching people from the hands of Satan,” shared Taras Sen.

The international ministry “Christ is the Answer” has been conducting crusades in Ethiopia since 2021.
