“Present Leasure to Children of War”: CITA Initiates a Fundraiser for Children’s Camps

The international Christ is the Answer ministries has launched a charitable fundraising campaign to organize camps for children who suffered from the war “Present Leasure to Children of War.” The fundraising target is 300 000 UAH ($8 000). The fundraising campaign will be underway until July 1.

Today, according to the organizers, children of Ukraine need protection, love and acceptance, and comprehensive attention. They need in different spheres from meeting the most basic needs to assistance in mental recovery.
The camp is an opportunity for children to dive into childhood, rest from the war, recover and go to relatively safe localities in Ukraine.

In 2023, we plan to conduct 4 charitable camps for children.

The cost of a 5-day camp for a child is 3 000 UAH.

The fundraising goal is 300 000 UAH (traveling, accommodation, meals, recovery) for 100 children.

We invite all indifferent people to join the project and enable children to recover both physically and emotionally, and make new friends.

Unfortunately, as of the end of April of 2023, 1425 children had got injured and 501 killed due to the Russian aggression.
The largest number of little Ukrainians have suffered from the war in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Luhansk and Dnipro regions.

According to the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Children’s Rights and Rehabilitation, Daria Herasymchuk, it is officially known about the deportation of 19 393 children though, in fact, this is a very small portion of 200-300 Ukrainian children abducted by the RUssians (since 2014).

Ukraine managed to return 361 children abducted by Russia during the first year of the war.
Charity, including organization of camps for children of different categories, is one of the activities of the CITA ministries.
