Over 30 CITA Tents Sent Across Ukraine and to Ethiopia in Just Six Months
7 July 2025
Since the beginning of the year, ministers in Ukraine have received 25 new CITA tents to help spread the Gospel—15 of those arrived in June. Additionally, 8 brand-new tents were delivered to missionaries in Ethiopia.

According to Yerubal Mulatu, senior CITA minister in Ethiopia, these tents are a great help to the missionaries and strengthen the work of evangelism:
“Using an evangelism tent in Ethiopia is quite uncommon—no one else here is doing this kind of ministry. I see several reasons why the tents are so important for spreading the Gospel.
First, some people don’t want to hear about the Gospel—they literally cover their ears. But the message printed on the tent? They can’t ignore that.
Second, someone might not feel comfortable talking about their depression with others. But when they read something like ‘Jesus sets you free from depression’ on the tent, they might reach out to us for prayer.
Third, every passerby reads what’s written on the tent—and that might be the moment Jesus touches their heart and changes their life.”

The new tents in Ethiopia, printed in both Amharic and Oromo, are currently being used in cities throughout the Oromia, Gambela, and Southern Nations regions.
“God can forgive everything,” “God is love,” “Pray, God hears,” “God loves people.” These are just a few of the messages printed on the 15 new tents sent out in June. Ten more were sent to various regions in Ukraine earlier this year.
Yulia, from a Pentecostal church in the city of Brody, Lviv region, shared her thoughts after their first time ministering with the tent:

“So far, we’ve only been able to take the tent out to the local market once, and we’re still waiting on city hall’s permission for three other locations around town. Most of our evangelism right now is focused on nursing homes, and in our church, we care for widows and those living alone.
Street evangelism feels completely different. I enjoy connecting with people—offering them candy, helping them pick the right literature. The tent draws people in. It’s bright, it’s inviting, and we feel comfortable in it. We’re truly grateful!”
Oleksandr, a minister from the Lviv region, noted that more people came up to talk and engage during evangelism efforts once they started using the tent. He also mentioned how helpful it was during bad weather, allowing them to continue their outreach even in the rain.
“The ministry provides tents free of charge for the work of the Gospel. Right now, we actually have a waiting list for tents—we can’t manufacture them fast enough. About 20 more tents are currently in production and will soon be sent out to different corners of Ukraine. The ministry is open to partnering with anyone who wants to spread the Gospel using tents,” said Taras Sen, Director of the ministry.
CITA’s tent ministry now reaches every region of Ukraine, excluding temporarily occupied territories. Outside of Ukraine, the tents are also being used by church ministers in Poland, Germany, Spain, Italy, Vietnam, Honduras, and Colombia.
