From February 13-16, in the city of Bonga, located in southwestern Ethiopia, the international ministry “Christ is the Answer,” in collaboration with local churches, organized its eleventh large-scale Gospel crusade. The speaker was the director of the ministry, church pastor, and missionary Taras Sen.

As part of his two-week trip, the Ukrainian missionary also conducted eye clinics, family and pastoral conferences, visited a daughter church, led a water baptism service, and launched a missionary conference.

Before the Gospel crusade, Taras Sen held a two-day conference for approximately 200 pastors and local church leaders in Bonga. He taught about the responsibilities and challenges of pastors and spoke on family life.

“On the second day of the conference, we prayed together with the ministers for empowerment by the Holy Spirit. God’s power moved mightily—many experienced manifestations of demonic oppression, but our mighty God set them free. After the service, everyone was filled with strength and joy from the Holy Spirit. It was an unforgettable moment when heaven leaned down to help and set the oppressed free. Glory to Jesus Christ!” shared the CITA director.

Taras Sen also led a family conference for pastors and their wives: “I spoke about the commandments for a happy marriage, covering not only spiritual and emotional aspects but also practical ones—such as the importance of taking care of the home. One minister shared afterward that he had been treating his wife incorrectly but received guidance on how to correct the situation. I plan to refine my family-related materials and share them with my Ethiopian colleagues, as they actively use them for similar events in their regions.”

On the very first day of the crusade, God’s power was revealed—people turned to God en masse, received healing from diseases, and were delivered from demonic oppression.

According to Taras Sen, God healed a man from a cancerous tumor. The next day, the healed man brought an updated medical report confirming the miracle.

CITA’s senior minister in Ethiopia, Erubal Mulatu, shared that this 30-year-old man had been diagnosed with cancer at a hospital in Bonga. Due to financial struggles, he couldn’t undergo treatment but decided to attend the crusade, where God healed him.

Over the four-day event, more than 60 people, including children, experienced manifestations of unclean spirits.

“By the power of the Holy Spirit, demons left the oppressed, and an atmosphere of joy filled the crusade site, where prayers and songs of praise to God continuously resounded,” said speaker Taras Sen.

During the crusade, CITA volunteers distributed 25,000 copies of the “Christ is the Answer” newspaper.

Alongside the massive crowd, Taras Sen prayed for Ukraine.

Minister Erubal shared testimonies of God’s glory during the Bonga crusade:

“A ten-year-old boy was delivered from demonic oppression. His parents carried him in their arms to the ministers, who prayed for him. After losing consciousness and appearing lifeless, he was revived. Everyone present was amazed, and many believed in Jesus Christ because of this miracle.

A 70-year-old woman suffered from a severe intestinal disorder. She had visited many doctors, but none could help her. The pain worsened, and she began experiencing bleeding. At the crusade, Taras Sen prayed for her, and the bleeding stopped.”

More than 1,100 people, including Orthodox believers, priests, and Muslims, received free medical care and eyeglasses at the charitable eye clinic.

During this trip, the CITA director presented certificates of appreciation to 15 individuals who have consistently participated in organizing and conducting crusades in Ethiopia. These included Christian singers, musicians, sound engineers, and translators.

As part of the trip, the director attended the first-ever conference for all CITA missionaries in Ethiopia, held in the city of Debre Zeyit.

The program for more than 100 participants included training sessions, a family program, a missionary school graduation, and water baptism.

Thirty-four people from four daughter churches of “Christ is the Answer” in various regions of Ethiopia traveled to Debre Zeyit for water baptism. After making their covenant with the Lord, they received baptismal certificates.

Taras Sen shared that, for the first time in his 20 years of pastoral ministry, he encountered demonic manifestations during a water baptism:

“Some may wonder how this is possible. Perhaps the ministers had not fully prepared the individuals, or the demons remained dormant until the grace of God manifested more powerfully. But the most important thing is that this ‘unfinished work’ was completed by God’s power and authority. In Ethiopia, many people come to God while still oppressed by demons. Many evil spirits are passed down through generations due to witchcraft. But Christ came to set the captives free.”

To encourage missionaries in reading God’s Word, the CITA director brought participants one-year Bible reading plans in Amharic.

The entire team prayed together for Ukraine, Ethiopia, and the work of missionaries across the country. Taras Sen taught the missionaries and pastors about church structure, tithing, and the importance of investing in God’s Kingdom by supporting at least one missionary.

“I believe missionary conferences like this are incredibly important. When we raise the level of pastors, we automatically raise the level of churches. A church usually does not grow beyond the level of its pastor. So, by investing in ministers, we are investing in churches. Pastors will take sound teaching, practical insights, and crucial lessons back to their regions,” noted Taras Sen.

The tenth crusade supported by the international “Christ is the Answer” ministry was held in the city of Boditi. Previous crusades took place in Chuko, Harar, Dire Dawa, Shone, Sodo, Dilla, Hosanna, Durame, and Shinshicho.
