Ethiopia: August News from the CITA Ministry
10 September 2025
In August, the “Christ Is the Answer” ministry in Ethiopia held another water baptism and wrapped up the summer children’s program. The CITA team in Ethiopia also continued other ministries in line with its vision.

Four people from the CITA church in Addis Ababa were baptized after completing the basic course.
The celebration took place in the city of Debre Zeit, where participants also received certificates as a sign of their covenant with the Lord.
The CITA team organized a special program to mark the conclusion of the summer children’s program. Fifteen children received diplomas and T-shirts with the ministry’s logo.

During the summer program, children learned Bible stories, including through films, memorized “golden verses,” prayed together, sang, prepared skits, and played various games.
According to Yerubal Mulatu, senior minister of the CITA ministry in Ethiopia, this format is designed to teach children God’s Word during their school break, help them grow spiritually through prayer and Bible lessons, and encourage them to memorize Scripture.

The ministers also seek to build community and teach teamwork through music, skits, and games, providing children with a constructive environment during the school holidays.
“It is very important to share the Gospel with families who do not yet know Jesus Christ. When children go home, they tell their parents what they’ve learned, and often bring them along the next time. This contributes to church growth. These programs also help children grow spiritually and strengthen their faith,” Yerubal shared.

On August 21–22, 2025, the “Christ Is the Answer” church in Waliso held a two-day eye clinic. During the program, 273 people received medical checkups, and 258 of them were given free eyeglasses. God’s Word was also preached to people from different religious backgrounds.

The very next day after the clinic in Waliso, the CITA church organized its second feeding program for 131 children. Most of the children came from Muslim families, while others were from Orthodox and Protestant backgrounds. The children studied the Bible and prayed together.

In Butajira, the CITA church held its third feeding program with about 200 children participating. Most were from Muslim and Orthodox families. The children learned Bible lessons, Christian songs, and Bible stories.
The CITA ministry in Ethiopia began its work in 2021. Since then, it has held 12 crusades in various cities, opened a central church in Addis Ababa and more than forty daughter churches in different regions, and launched a missionary training center to prepare ministers of the Gospel for Ethiopia.
