CITA Ministry to Hold a Major Gospel Crusade in Ethiopia
10 February 2025
From February 13-16, the international ministry Christ Is The Answer (CITA), in partnership with local churches, will host another major crusade in Bonga, a city in southwest Ethiopia. This will be the eleventh crusade of its kind. The event will also feature eye clinics, as well as family and pastoral conferences.

“This time, the crusade will take place in a city where, as we’ve discovered, there are people actively opposing the church and the preaching of the Gospel. Some groups have already torn down event posters, attacked one of our daughter churches, destroyed Bibles, and damaged church property. Despite this, we expect a large crowd to attend the crusade—people who need to hear sound teaching about Christ. We believe God’s grace will be at work, allowing us to proclaim the message that God loves, forgives, saves, and is waiting for people to come to Him. We anticipate many lives to be transformed. Additionally, we will be praying for healing and deliverance, trusting that God will confirm His Word through signs, wonders, and miracles,” shared Taras Sen, the mission’s director and lead speaker for the Ethiopian crusades.

A charitable eye clinic, designed to serve up to a thousand people, is also planned as part of the event. Taras Sen expressed hope that this initiative would encourage more people to attend the crusade:
“We will show them Christ not just through words but through action. This will open many hearts to come to the crusade and receive the Gospel. Even at the clinic itself, we will share the Good News.”
One of the crusade days will also feature a special children’s ministry.
For pastors and church leaders, a two-day conference will focus on pastoral responsibility, equipping them for counseling and evangelistic work.

In Bonga, Ukrainian missionary Taras Sen will also lead a family conference, aiming to inspire local churches to establish similar ministries.
As part of his trip, Taras Sen will attend the CITA conference for missionaries and pastors in Ethiopia. This will be the first event of its kind hosted by the local CITA team in Debre Zeit, Oromia (Central Ethiopia).
The mission’s director will share his experience in pastoral and missionary work. The schedule also includes a water baptism, a family conference, and the graduation of a missionary school.

“Beyond those who will come to Christ at the crusade, many others will need spiritual strengthening. By working with pastors and missionaries and pouring into their hearts, we will indirectly reach the many churches they serve,” said the mission’s director.
The tenth crusade was held in Boditi, with previous events taking place in Chuko, Harar, Dire Dawa, Shone, Sodo, Dilla, Hosanna, Durame, and Shinshicho.
