CITA Ministry: Missionary meeting took place

18 August 2023

On August 15, the missionaries of the International Ministry “Christ Is the Answer” once again met online and summarized the work in the regions for the current month.

In Zaporizhzhia, the local team is conducting an Alpha course for displaced women from Orikhiv and Gulyaypole (Zaporizhzhia region). Each week, missionaries serve in a prayer tent for people passing by.

In the Mykolaiv region, missionaries regularly organize events for children of all ages in the outlying villages of Bilousivka, Dilnyche and Mykhailivka. They also visit the elderly in a social home with humanitarian aid and an evangelization program. In the Nova Odesa church, a CITA pastor and missionary prepares nine people to get baptized.

The director of missions shared the results and impressions of the first trip to El Salvador and Nicaragua and the second trip to Mexico. In each of these countries, they conducted training sessions for free eye clinics, seminars for pastors and ministers, and conferences for families. Nicaragua impressed the Ukrainian missionaries with its poverty and squalor. This country, along with some Latin American countries, forms a kind of coalition of Russia’s allies.

In Ethiopia, the missionary work continues. In August, a team of Ukrainian missionaries went to teach local pastors how to run children’s camps for children with disabilities.

Missionaries in Rivne, along with volunteers from the local “Christ is the Answer” church, organized and conducted a teen rafting outreach to build relationships and evangelize.

The Rivne Ministry media department is developing a board game called “Apostle” to be presented at CITA’s next annual conference in October in the Carpathians.

Traditionally, CITA Ministry director Taras Sen shared spiritual thoughts with the team. This time the topic was mass apostasy in times of struggle, including spiritual one: “There are many people who call themselves Christians, but teach what benefits them. They may also be involved in charity, but they are pursuing political rather than spiritual goals, which means they are losing their role as a church – to be the pillar and ground of the truth. But we need to fight by praying, by doing good deeds, and by guarding our hearts.”

Meetings of CITA international missionaries are held monthly.
