CITA Ministry Expands Its Work to 35 Countries: 2024 Report

The international ministry “Christ is the Answer” (CITA) expanded its activity in 2024, increasing the number of countries where it serves to 35 across Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. A total of 110 CITA missionaries are actively serving in Ukraine, Ethiopia, India, and Nepal.

Ukraine

Throughout 2024, CITA missionaries in Ukraine held over 3,200 meetings with individuals and families, nearly 430 children’s clubs, Sunday schools, youth groups, and summer camps, 39 eye clinics, and more than 770 street and indoor evangelistic events. Humanitarian aid was distributed to over 10,000 people.

For evangelistic purposes, CITA printed 610,000 copies of the “Christ is the Answer” newspaper and 100,000 Bible-based calendars for various churches. Of these, CITA missionaries distributed 123,000 newspapers and approximately 40,000 calendars.

In Ternopil, CITA missionaries marked five years of ministry to low-income families. Over this period, in cooperation with government social services, they have reached 400 families in need.

In Zaporizhzhia region, missionaries launched a youth club for 16 teenagers in a rural village and started a prison ministry in Dnipropetrovsk region.

CITA’s initiatives were covered by regional media in Ternopil (a meeting for wives and mothers of fallen soldiers), Zaporizhzhia (eye clinic), and Rivne (eye clinic).

The director of CITA began hosting spiritual programs on the secular regional radio station “Respect”, broadcasting to Rivne and Khmelnytsky regions.

CITA continues its partnership with “Rivnyany” magazine and “Rakurs Rivne” newspaper, publishing testimonies of transformed lives, sermons, and ministry updates. For the first time, “Rakurs Rivne” featured a Christian children’s page.

The director’s TV program, “Good News,” aired two to four times per week on regional TV channels across Ukraine, including iTV in Rivne, 33 Channel, TV7+, Exclusive in Khmelnytsky, and Ternopil 1.

CITA missionaries and volunteers in Rivne organized three charitable retreats in the Carpathians for orphans, widows of fallen soldiers, wounded servicemen, and displaced persons.

At least 20 new evangelistic billboards were installed across the Rivne region.

CITA held its first eye clinic in Chernivtsi.

In the fall, CITA hosted its 8th annual missionary conference in Zakarpattia, featuring well-known Christian leaders.

This year, CITA produced and distributed 61 evangelistic tents across all regions of Ukraine.

The ministry developed and released a new game called “Questions for Couples”, and its media team in Rivne created an Easter Advent calendar.

The CITA director, Taras Sen, taught at the international Bible school of the “New Generation” church network.

For the first time, CITA participated in a fundraising summit and the Global Leadership Summit.

CITA initiated a Thanksgiving fundraiser for wounded soldiers receiving treatment in hospitals in Ternopil and Mykolaiv, raising 12,000 UAH.

Across Ukraine, CITA distributed 6,000 Christmas treat boxes featuring the nativity story.

Ethiopia

In Ethiopia, CITA held two crusades in Chuko (February) and Boditi (July). The 2024 crusade marked the 10th anniversary of large-scale outreach events in the country.

CITA local missionaries established 17 new churches in various regions, bringing the total to 31 churches founded by graduates of CITA’s missionary school.

The CITA missionary school in Addis Ababa graduated two student groups in 2024.

The Ministry secured a partnership with Christian TV channel GMM, which now broadcasts CITA programs in Amharic weekly during prime-time hours.

CITA printed two editions of the “Christ is the Answer” newspaper (100,000 copies each) in Amharic and Oromo, along with 15,000 Bible-based calendars.

For the first time, 20,000 copies of “Christ is the Answer” were printed in the Gumuz language, making it the first-ever printed publication for this ethnic group.

CITA missionaries conducted eight eye clinics in Ethiopia, with nearly 400 participants at a single event.

Missionaries also began caring for six orphaned children, providing meals twice a week as well as Bible and academic lessons.

India & Nepal

CITA printed Christian booklets in Hindi, Nepali, and English for evangelism in India and Nepal. Missionaries regularly share the Gospel, work with children in urban and rural areas, and host eye clinics.

In October, CITA’s missionary school in India celebrated its fourth graduation class.

Other Countries

A CITA evangelistic tent, sent in 2024, is now in use in Germany. Additionally, seven more tents were manufactured for evangelistic work in Italy, Spain, Germany, and Poland.

CITA launched its first ministry efforts in Papua New Guinea, supporting a local Sunday school and hosting a eye clinic. Evangelistic booklets were also printed in Tok Pisin language.

CITA director Taras Sen visited Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, and Peru for the first time, conducting training on evangelism tools, including eye clinics. In Bolivia, Ukrainian missionaries shared the Gospel with two indigenous tribes in the jungle. In Colombia, CITA missionaries preached in high-crime areas and in a prison.

CITA conducted its first eye clinics in Venezuela and Mozambique.

In total, CITA supported over 50 eye clinics in 17 countries worldwide in 2024.

For the first time, the “Christ is the Answer” newspaper was printed in Spanish for South America, with a distribution of 30,000 copies.

For evangelistic outreach in Bangladesh and Pakistan this November, CITA Ministry printed the first editions of Christian calendars in the Baum language (3,000 copies) and Urdu (5,000 copies), respectively.

For Mexico and Colombia, 5,000 copies were printed for each country, while Venezuela received 3,000 calendars.

For the first time, calendars were printed in Portuguese for evangelism in Mozambique (1,000 copies) and Brazil (5,000 copies).
In Guatemala, 5,000 Spanish-language calendars were produced. In Uzbekistan, CITA volunteers received 3,000 copies, in Vietnam—5,000 copies, and in Cambodia—10,000 evangelistic calendars from the ministry.

The international ministry Christ Is the Answer has been engaged in evangelistic work since 2014, utilizing various Gospel outreach tools.
