CITA Ministries prepares for the seventh crusade in EthiopiaOn

On October 17-22, Christ Is The Answer International Ministry, in cooperation with local churches, will hold its seventh gospel crusade in the city of Dire Dawa in southeastern Ethiopia.

Preparations for the crusade have been underway for two months. Representatives of the Ethiopia ministry are making preliminary contacts with local churches in the city where the crusade will be held, coordinating the event with local authorities, renting land, and distributing announcements in the community.

In addition, extensive spiritual preparation is underway – pastors are fasting and praying for the upcoming crusade. Up to 50,000 evangelistic newspapers have already been printed to meet the needs of the event.

“What makes this trip special is that this is the first time CITA is holding a crusade in a Muslim city with a predominantly Somali population. We will have the opportunity to share Christ with those who do not know Him. We hope that the participants will not only hear, but also feel the touch of the Holy Spirit on their hearts.

I expect to see the manifestation of God’s power, especially in people’s repentance, deliverance from demons, and healing from physical ailments. I expect many pastors to be renewed by the Holy Spirit and Christians to experience the power of God to be strengthened in their faith and to be more zealous in sharing the Gospel. All our hope is in God – in His Word and His power,” said Taras Sen, the ministry’ director and event speaker at the crusade.

The large event will include topical seminars and a family meeting for pastors and ministers of local churches. The missionaries will hold a charity eye clinic for the residents of the city and surrounding villages and will give away a thousand pairs of glasses to the participants.

For the first time on this trip, ministers from Ukraine will hold a two-day youth conference. They will also visit the “Christ is the Answer” church in the capital of Ethiopia, planted by CITA Ministries, where they will hold a worship service and water baptism for representatives of 12 daughter churches. Ukrainian missionaries plan training for students and graduates of the CITA mission center.

The Dire Dawa Crusade is CITA’s seventh major event in Ethiopia. The sixth crusade was held in Shona in May. Previous crusades were held in the cities of Sodo, Dilla, Hassanna, Durami and Shinshicho.
