Christmas from CITA in Mozambique and Nepal

Holiday evangelistic events by the “Christ is the Answer” (CITA) ministry took place in Mozambique for children and in Nepal for prisoners.

In Mozambique, CITA joined the “New Generation” project, which focuses on rescuing orphaned children from the streets and helping them integrate into society.

For 322 children, local volunteer and pastor Manuel Carlitos organized a special charity meal. The children were treated to rice with chicken, salad, fries, and juice. During the event, they also heard the message of the Gospel.

As the minister shared, most of these children are orphans with no one to care for them. That’s why he looks after them daily, supporting both their physical and spiritual well-being.

In Nepal, during the Christmas season, the prison authorities granted permission for ministers to openly preach the Gospel to prisoners. A large evangelistic gathering took place, with around 100 women from the women’s prison and 1,000 men from the men’s prison in attendance. Police officers were also present.

According to missionary Anhelina, local people in Nepal respond best to the Gospel through songs and dances, as it’s their preferred way of understanding spiritual truths. That’s why the event featured a program of songs and dances, organized by members of the church that has formed within the prison.

“Praise God for such an opportunity—to preach the Gospel in prison. I believe the very fact that we’re allowed to share the Gospel in a country with restrictions on it, and to have permission to communicate with prisoners on their turf, is a miracle from the Lord!” said the missionary.

This is the second year in a row that CITA missionaries have held a Christmas outreach in Nepal.

The “Christ is the Answer” international ministry operates in 35 countries, spreading the Gospel using a variety of evangelistic tools.
