“Childhood Without a Pause”: Fundraiser for Children’s Camps Extended
2 July 2025
The fundraiser for children’s camps in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions—“Childhood Without a Pause”—has been extended through July 31. So far, 6,000 UAH has been raised, which is 40% of the original goal.
“Although we’ve already collected part of the needed funds for camps in active combat zones, we’ve decided to extend the fundraiser because the need is real: the camps are absolutely full. We still have at least four more camp sessions ahead, including in Mykolaiv region, and each one needs our support. On the very first day in the city of Pervomaisk, 60 children showed up. We want to provide them with the basics—water, cookies, craft materials. July is still a window of opportunity to raise enough funds so that the August camps don’t go unsupported. This isn’t just a summer break—it’s a chance for kids to hear the Gospel, make friends, and experience love and care,” shared Olena Volkodayeva, Executive Director of the CITA Ministry.
Here’s what’s needed for the camps across the three locations:
- Cookies for tea time
- Craft supplies
- Picnic food
- Drinking water
- Ice cream
The budget per child is 100 UAH.

Children’s camps are one of the most effective ways to share the Gospel, and missionaries with Christ Is the Answer are using them actively. In the midst of war and hardship, they’re creating safe, joyful spaces where kids can rest, heal, enjoy a real childhood, and learn about God’s love in a fun, engaging way.
