21st Church Planted in Ethiopia

In one of the nine regions of Oromia, Ethiopia, a CITA missionary, having graduated from the Addis Ababa Mission School, planted a church. It became the 21st CITA-Ethiopia church to open at the Christ is the Answer Ministry-affiliated mission church in Addis Ababa.
“In March 2022, we started the work of planting a church in Addis Ababa. At that time, we also started a missionary school to train pastors and missionaries. There are about 1,500 people attending worship services in the Ministry’s daughter churches in different regions of Ethiopia. The churches are planted primarily in regions where there are few or no evangelical churches: among Muslims, pagans and Orthodox Christians,” said Taras Sen, director of the Ministry.
According to Erubal Mulatu, pastor of Christ is the Answer Church in Addis Ababa, the new church in Oromia consists mainly of Muslims and has more than 10 members. The main areas of ministry, besides worship, are pastoral care and evangelism.
The Christ is the Answer ministry has been working in Ethiopia since 2021. In July 2024, the tenth Gospel Cruise was held in this country with the support of CITA.
