When you can feel the scent of holidays in the air, when the streets are covered with soft snow, when you see a pleasant bustle everywhere – people choose gifts in the pre-holiday period hoping for a better tomorrow… You already know that Christmas is coming.
For children, this time is special because kids always get sweet gifts in festive bright boxes from everywhere. And these boxes, for their part, can tell a story… And why not a Christmas story?
That’s what CITA Ministry Director Taras Sen thought, who has had a desire to spread the Gospel in various ways since he was a young boy:
“Churches give sweet gifts to children, orphans and displaced people, but they buy them in ordinary shops. I thought for a long time, why don’t we make Christian boxes so that children can bring Jesus Christ instead of Santa Claus?
So for three years in a row, Christ is the Answer Ministry has printed two types of Christmas boxes with God’s Word for candy and offered them to churches and religious organizations throughout Ukraine.
The boxes with the Christmas story and biblical texts are printed with voluntary donations.
The Christmas story is the first benefit of the candy box. The second is financial. Buying these boxes and filling them with candy saves up to 15 hryvnias from each gift.
“Through Christian candy boxes, we remind children that Christmas is the birthday of Christ the Savior. And why spend money on secular gifts with elements of magic when we can spread the biblical values of Jesus Christ?” says Taras Sen.
