The project “In the Father’s house” – Ministry to the homeless
When we hear the word “homeless”, most of us associate this word with an alcoholic whose life is broken. But, we have to realize that many homeless start drinking when they turn out to be on the street and they drink because of hopelessness and not knowing where to turn for help. As we serve the homeless, our ministers often learn real reasons why people turn out to be on the streets: failure to find job after moving to another city, fraud at work, family problems, problems with rent, and the last but not least, personal choice to become a wanderer. First and foremost, volunteers seek to provide people on the street with food and clothing at heating stations, help them to restore their documents, find work, help them return to society. And of course, they share with them about caring Heavenly Father.
“In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you” (John 14: 2)
