“Visiting Grandma” — that’s the name of the Christmas campaign launched on November 18 by CITA Ministry to support people in need. The holiday campaign will run until December 16.

According to the organizers, loneliness is something many elderly and underprivileged people face, especially during the Christmas season — a time when families typically gather around the holiday table. Many lonely grandmas and grandpas, seniors in need, dream of having a celebration in their homes too. By meeting their physical needs with food packages, we also want to bring them hope — hope in God, who gave us the Savior, Jesus Christ! Hope in God lifts us up, strengthens us, and gives us faith for the future.

The goal of the “Visiting Grandma” campaign is to prepare 500 food packages for 500 individuals and families.

Each Christmas food package costs about 200 UAH (around $8) and includes a variety of grains, sunflower oil, sugar, cookies, and tea.

You can “visit” a grandma by donating 200 UAH or more through the campaign’s mini-website.

CITA Ministry will use the donations to purchase food supplies. Then, between December 20 and January 8, missionaries, ministers, and volunteers from the Ministry will bring warmth, care, and the message of Christ to people in need across Ukraine.

Since 2014, through its “Charity” project, CITA Ministry has been distributing essential food packages to people in need all over Ukraine and beyond. These packages regularly go to large families, retirees in Eastern Ukraine, and people with disabilities.
